Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur is inviting visitors to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the year of the water rabbit, by experiencing their culinary offerings. They have a variety of options available including dine-in and takeaway options, as well as gifts.

Chinese New Year At Lemon Garden

At Lemon Garden, you can indulge in a luxurious spread of Lunar buffet and increase your fortune by trying the Yee Sang specialities.

The buffet offers a generous selection of sushi, sashimi, high-quality Asian and Western cuisine, and other specialities.

The menu includes traditionally auspicious dishes such as braised mushroom, dried oyster, black moss, fish stomach, sea cucumber, broccoli, mud crab, steamed sustainable grouper with ginger and garlic oil, and stewed whole duck with Chinese spices.

Lunch Buffet with Yee Sang

Dinner Buffet with Yee Sang

From January 21st to 23rd, you can enjoy a reunion with the Reunion Buffet Dinner which includes Yee Sang and is priced at RM288 nett per person.

The dinner also includes various types of Yee Sang, a double-boiled Chinese Winter Melon soup with red dates and goji berries, and a Vegetarian Buddha Delight dish among others.

Chinese New Year At Shang Palace

At Shang Palace, the Chinese New Year Specialties menu is filled with traditional and auspicious dishes such as Poon Choi or Braised Premium assorted hot dish served in a Claypot, double-boiled Fish Maw, Abalone, Japanese dried scallops, dried Oyster braised Goose Web with Kantau Sea cucumber among others.

The Poon Choi serving is available for groups of 3 to 10 people, with prices ranging from RM588 nett to RM2388 nett.

Additionally, five varieties of Yee Sang can also be ordered a-la-carte for dine-in or takeaway. There are also six prosperity set menus of eight or nine courses available.

The 8-Course Great Prosperity Set Menu is priced at RM288 nett per person, 8-Course Rich Fortune Set Menu is priced at RM388 nett per person, Vegetarian Menu is priced at RM248 nett per person, although it’s not available on Jan 21-23, 2023.

The 9-course menu will be available throughout the festive season, including the Happy Reunion Set Menu at RM3,528 nett per table of 6 persons, the 9-Course Wealth Treasures Set Menu at RM8,880 nett per table of 10 persons and the Vegetarian Menu at RM268 nett per person with a minimum order of four persons.

All set menus start with Yee Sang and end with a combination of Pan-fried Nian Gao. The hotel also offers a collection of Nian Gao as lunar gifts to bestow good luck and prosperity to friends and family, including the fish-shaped prosperity coconut Nian Gao.
