Marina Bay Sands, the iconic integrated resort, is all set to embark on an unforgettable sonic journey with its inaugural music festival, Where Music Takes Over. This grand celebration of culture, music, and live entertainment promises to captivate music fans from all walks of life.
Spanning nearly three weeks, from July 15th to August 2nd, the festival will feature an impressive lineup of performances and fringe activities hosted at various venues across the resort. Prepare to be enthralled as Marina Bay Sands plays host to over 10 sensational concerts and musical performances during the festival.
Leading the charge are some of the biggest names in global entertainment, including the renowned Taiwanese Mandopop maestro, David Tao, the extraordinary English pop sensation, Ellie Goulding, and the multi-talented Colombian singer, songwriter, and music producer, J Balvin.
These global music icons will be joining an already star-studded lineup of headlining acts set to perform at Marina Bay Sands as part of the Music Festival. The list includes The 1975, The Strokes, RINI, Sabrina Carpenter, and A$AP Ferg, with more exciting announcements to follow in the coming weeks.
Mark your calendars for July 16th, as the prolific composer and singer-songwriter David Tao makes his highly anticipated return to Singapore. With a collection of nostalgic ballads and recent tracks, this six-time Golden Melody Award-winner will serenade fans with his harmonious splendour, showcasing the best of Mandopop melodies.
On July 26th, pop connoisseur Ellie Goulding will take fans on a mesmerizing auditory escapade. Her unique vocal dexterity and mellifluous hit tracks will enchant audiences and create an unforgettable experience. Goulding’s illustrious career skyrocketed with her debut album, “Lights,” which debuted at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart, propelling her into the global pop scene.
The sonic journey reaches its peak on July 28th with J Balvin’s captivating high-energy performance. Recognized by Billboard as one of the best-selling Latin artists of all time, J Balvin’s breakthrough came with his hit single “6 AM,” which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard charts in 2014.
How To Get Tickets
Tickets for Ellie Goulding and J Balvin will be available for purchase on June 20th at 12 pm and 3 pm, respectively, while tickets for David Tao’s performance will go on sale on June 23rd at 12pm, exclusively through Marina Bay Sands’ website.
Due to overwhelming demand, additional tickets for The 1975’s concert at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre on July 18th and 19th will be released, providing more opportunities for fans to experience their captivating performance. These additional tickets can be purchased via Marina Bay Sands’ website and Ticketmaster.
