A new cafe in Kuala Lumpur called After One has just opened with a mission to serve Michelin standard food that is healthy yet delicious. The cafe that just opened is a pet-friendly, vegan-friendly and pork-free cafe that provides semi-plant-based food and has a beautiful warm space.
Meet The Chef
After One’s head chef is Chef Lee, who is born in Malaysia and has travelled all around the world even working in a Michelin star restaurant in New York for 3 years.
He is the creator of After One’s splendid menu spread, with a balance of taste, health-consciousness, and rich senses, the menu is a must to try.
Despite the limitation of local produce variety and the instability of pricing, Chef Lee insists on using fresh ingredients every day and healthy cooking methods to provide everyone with healthy food that is curated for taste and created for balance.
As a semi-plant-based cafe, After One serves pork-free dishes with vegan-friendly selections and also choices for meat lovers.
From homemade waffles to big breakfast, Moroccan chicken to yoghurt bowls, they have dishes that everyone can try. The signature hot seller is Eggs Benny which comes with poached eggs, cured salmon, English muffins and tomato hollandaise.
The After One Cafe Design
After One was transformed from an aged bungalow, enthused with Scandinavian design.
The cafe is designed by Decalyca Lab who pictured After One as an isolated oasis in the middle of the bustling city with a combination of esthetic and practicality.
The concept behind it is to have a snuggery for people who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
The cafe provides a rejuvenating multi-experience of indoor and semi-outdoor space design with airy space and ample amount of natural sunlight, allowing customers to have a pleasant time at After One.
As a stand-alone bungalow, After One can also become an event space that can house up to 130 pax. The cafe can also provide flexible outsourcing services for different events including parties, product launches, workshops, markets, photo shoots and private events.
