From the 23rd to the 25th of June, music enthusiasts and cultural aficionados will gather at the enchanting Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) in the heart of Malaysian Borneo for this unforgettable event.
Themed ‘Reflections,’ RWMF 2023 offers attendees a chance to delve into the vibrant tapestry of world music and delve deeper into the ancient customs that underpin this celebration.
Prepare to be enchanted and enthralled by an impressive lineup of 199 artists from 12 countries spanning 4 continents such as the acclaimed Grammy Award-winning Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Baliardo from France, serenading the audience with timeless classics like ‘Djobi Djoba’ and ‘Bamboleo.’
Joining them will be the renowned Big Mountain from Jamaica and the United States, presenting their chart-topping hit ‘Baby, I Love Your Way.’
Adding to the musical odyssey are sensational acts such as Safi Theatre from Tanzania, Rastak from Iran, Fasylive from the Maldives, Afriquoi from the United Kingdom, Chatusram from India, Rizal Hadi & Folk from Indonesia, and Ethno Thai Fusion Sound Band from Thailand.
RWMF 2023 takes pride in honouring its cultural roots by shining a spotlight on talents from Malaysia’s East and West regions. These local acts, including Zee Avi, Suk Binie, Aseana Percussion Unit, Nadir, Steve Thornton & Afroasia, Sada Borneo, Tuku Kame, Nading Rhapsody, Geng Wak Long, Buloh Bekocak, At Adau, Meruked, and Orang Orang Drum Theatre, contribute their unique artistry to this unparalleled celebration of music.
Additionally, RWMF 2023 ticket holders will enjoy a complimentary shuttle service from Kuching City to the festival venue. With hourly shuttles operating from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, attendees can easily reach the SCV. The shuttle service also ensures a hassle-free return journey from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, extending into the evening hours from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am.

RWMF 2023 offers a range of ticket categories under a limited-period offer. Choose from the Adult 1-Day Pass options for Friday/Sunday (RM230) or Saturday (RM260), or opt for the Adult 2-Day Pass for Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday (RM440). For the ultimate experience, the Adult 3-Day Pass (RM590) is available. Child 1-Day Passes are also available for Friday/Saturday/Sunday (RM80).
