Sunway Putra Mall invites shoppers from today till 8 May to a journey of fasting, homecoming, celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri and welcoming the month of Ramadhan.
With the festive season coming into full swing, shoppers will be greeted by a traditional Kampung house with a refreshing new look that is surrounded by palm trees painted with pop colours, a decorated hut, oil lamps and colourful light bulbs as they walk towards Sunway Putra Mall’s Main Concourse on the Ground Floor.
Inspired by the tranquil lifestyle of yeInspired by the tranquil lifestyle of yesteryear, this year’s ‘boisterous and jolly’ or ‘Riuh Ria Raya’ theme hopes to re-engage the Raya mood for shoppers as they reunite for a joyous celebration at their hometown in anticipation of the upcoming Aidilfitri season.
This Raya, the mall has chosen to showcase the skills of Malaysia’s many talented local artists, designers and entrepreneurs throughout its radiant space.
The autism-friendly mall has collaborated with two young talented autistic artists, namely Izzati Shahrin and Haziq Izmi from NAKSENI who are both known for their unique artworks. The hand-painted art pieces created are inspired by the flora and fauna elements that further enhance the ambience of the mall’s décor mall-wide.
Each piece will have its own spark and feel based on the autistic artists’ perspectives and inspirations. You can find all seven unique and beautifully hand-painted crescents that are placed at prominent areas in the mall and snap memorable shots in support of the creative artworks.
Another art piece created by the famous contemporary graffiti artist Abdulrashade and his team showcases flowers that are in full bloom, signifying a new dawn while the striking colours and bold strokes represent life and perseverance. You can spot these mural designs on the Peugeot 2008 car displayed at their concourse, as well as their Floral Coasters that are up for grabs!
Catch the beautiful Bird of Paradise design on the brand-new Peugeot 2008 at Sunway Putra Mall’s Main Concourse at the Ground Floor. Take your phone out and scan the QR code to watch the artwork come to life when you hover your camera over the vibrant piece displayed on the vehicle.
On top of this, there will be a variety of offerings and promotions awaiting shoppers beyond the vibrant experience!
