Symphonic Rock 2.0 Electrifies Sold-Out Crowd at PJPAC

The roar of guitars met the grandeur of a full orchestra at Symphonic Rock 2.0, which delivered three sold-out nights of pure musical energy at Stage 1 Theatre, PJPAC @ 1 Utama.

Presented by Tutan Entertainment, the show drew over 1,900 attendees, cementing its place as one of Malaysia’s most dynamic live music experiences.

Blending rock and symphonic soundscapes, the concert featured an 86-piece orchestra, a 36-member choir, and a full rock band performing legendary anthems from Queen, Metallica, Nirvana, Bon Jovi, Radiohead, Muse, Guns N’ Roses, and Pink Floyd. Fans were also treated to a Jiwang Rock Medley, celebrating Malaysia’s most beloved rock ballads.

Leading the charge was Malaysia’s own Muzza, whose powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence lit up the stage. From the raw grit of Smells Like Teen Spirit to the soaring notes of Sweet Child O’ Mine, Muzza’s performance brought the audience to its feet, culminating in a triumphant finale of We Are the Champions.

Under the baton of Kevin Field, the Tutan Festival Orchestra and Fiamma Opera Studio Choir transformed iconic rock hits into sweeping symphonic arrangements — creating a two-hour spectacle that bridged genres and generations.

The weekend also marked a proud milestone when “Bara Jiwa” from the movie Blood Brothers — performed live by Muzza — was announced as the Winner of Best Theme Song at the Festival Filem Anugerah Malaysia 2024 (FFAM24). The news was celebrated on stage to thunderous applause.

The final night wrapped on a heartfelt note as the orchestra, choir, and audience came together to celebrate Kevin Field’s birthday — the perfect ending to an already unforgettable weekend of music, emotion, and unity.

“It’s been incredible to see how Symphonic Rock continues to evolve and connect with new audiences,” said Kevin Field. “This year’s show was about more than just blending genres — it’s about reimagining great rock songs and giving them a new sonic identity.”

With electric energy, standing ovations, and fans singing along to every anthem, Symphonic Rock 2.0 proved once again that rock and orchestra truly belong on the same stage.
